The Endeavour Capital Management Team has extensive experience
in growing technology companies and realizing considerable shareholder
value. The managers have a hands-on style when working with their
portfolio companies to maximize opportunities using their combined
experience and global networks.
Neville
Jordan CNZM
Executive Chairman
Neville is a graduate engineer and holds an hon Doctorate in Engineering from Canterbury University. Early experience in civil aviation and IBM World Trade Corp.
A USA Rotary scholarship, then several years in Europe as VP for a Philips company.
In 1975 he founded MAS Technology Ltd, a telecom microwave company. Grew from start-up to multinational company and achieved a successful IPO on the NASDAQ main board.
Founded Endeavour Capital in 1998 to invest in companies based on science and technology. Investments span over 30 international companies, large and small, with many successful exits achieved.
Awarded UK IEE Kirby Medal for "outstanding eminence and distinction in advanced technology" and is a Distinguished Fellow of the Inst of Prof Engineers.
Neville has served on many Govt Committees; plus six years as a director of the Crown company, AgResearch; and three years each on the boards of the Foundation for RS&T and the Prime Minister's Growth and Innovation Advisory Board.
For 2011: on Govt panel reviewing NZ Defence RS&T; and Govt panel recommending Green initiatives.
Chaired several Committees for the Australian and NZ Govts, most recently, NZ Govt Taskforce reviewing Crown Research Institutes. Past Chair of a State Owned Enterprise establishment board and then Chair of Divestment Board.
Rtd Officer RNZNVR and hon Captain in the Royal NZ Navy.
Philanthropy: started Jordan Foundation in 1995 to provide scholarships for higher learning, particularly for the disadvantaged, plus support for performing arts. Elected hon Life Member of Downstage Theatre to recognise his contribution to live theatre.
Immediate Past President, Royal Society of NZ. Trustee of Inst Prof Engineers Foundation. Also, Antarctic Heritage Trust, charged with conserving the Shackleton and Scott huts in the Antarctic.
In 1999 he was invested as Companion NZ Order of Merit. He has received the Governor General's Supreme award for Exporting and is a laureate of both the Business Hall of Fame and Hi-Tech Hall of Fame.
Bill
Thatcher
General Partner
Bill has built a successful career in fund-raising, marketing and international business development, primarily in positioning and telecommunications technologies. He served as a VP with Globalstar when it successfully listed on the NASDAQ exchange and his outward facing responsibilities included building the company's global network of mobile communications Service Providers.
As a VP of Pionetics in the cleantech sector with A and B round VC investors, Bill served as Executive Director of their Beijing registered subsidiary. He has lived and worked in the Middle East, Europe, and North America. A skilled relationship builder across business, and national, cultural borders he has made a unique and strong contribution to many emerging companies.
He has assisted several young companies with defensible IP across three continents seeking ‘A' round funding to position themselves appropriately in engaging with major VC investors. These included:
- Limnia, a solid state hydrogen fuel cell technology company in America, where he also advised the founder on the selection of the executive team.
- 7-IP, an Australian satellite communications technology company providing link optimisation software and
- Peach, a British company with a novel digital optical code providing unique identity to product and packaging.
Bill's experience also includes having worked in a Blackstone led team developing a restructuring plan for a public company. Separately for a government backed R&D body he positioned a spin out for a trade sale, and identified several potential buyers for the company. His broad experience of the function and value of PE/VC investments to companies at their appropriate stages of development provides a unique perspective both to Endeavour as well as to our prospective pipeline companies.
Dennis

Dennis was the founding partner and CEO of Rebis Inc., a San Francisco-based
software company in the plant design CAE and CAD market. He grew
the company from start-up in 1984 to become the worldwide leader
in plant design applications for AutoCAD. In 1996, Rebis received
an Inc. 500 award, as one of the top fastest growing private companies
in the US, with 100 employees and annual revenues of US$13 million
from 60 countries. Rebis was acquired by Bentley Systems in March
2002.
In 1998 Dennis joined Cyra Technologies, Inc. to begin commercialization
of a new 3D laser scanning system for AEC geomatic applications.
By 2000, Cyra had a leadership position with over 65% market share
in long range 3D laser scanning, with annual sales of US$10 million.
In early 2001 Cyra was acquired by Leica Geosystems AG, for US$70
million. Dennis received a BE and ME from the University of Canterbury
in civil engineering and a PhD from the University of California,
Berkeley in 1978.
