BioVittoria Limited

BioVittoria is bringing to market a natural non-caloric, (no calories) high intensity sweetener.
The sweetner can be used in a wide range of products, from table top sweeteners to beverages and food products. The sweetener has a brand name of PureLo.


Derceto

Derceto is an optimization software company out of the Beca Group. The Beca Group employs some 1,400 people in 16 countries worldwide.

Derceto has headquarters in Auckland and San Francisco. Derceto has the first in market "customized off-the-shelf" (COTS) software tool which works online and in real-time to reduce the costs of treated water distribution. Derceto optimizes pump schedules to minimize distribution costs guided primarily by electricity tariffs. Derceto is jointly owned by the Beca Group, Endeavour Capital and key staff.

Doctor Global Limited (Investment by Endeavour Capital)

Doctor Global develops electronic disease management solutions, health record systems, and online clinical consulting tools.

Ectus Ltd

Ectus is a company commercialising collaborative learning, video conferencing and streaming technologies. Ectus focuses on integrating synchronous and asynchronous collaboration technology, the theory of online communities, learning and best practice to provide interactive, stimulating and supportive on-line working and learning environments. Ectus works with clients to transform face to face processes to create effective on-line communities.

Ectus technology has application in Education, Health, Government and Commerce.
Ectus originated as a Research and Development unit in The University of Waikato www.waikato.ac.nz. Ectus was successfully exited in October 2005. The company was purchased by Tandberg www.tandberg.net.


Flexidrill Limited


Flexidrill has developed a patented technology which allows for greatlyimproved speed of drilling rock and other ground formations. The company is currently proving the technology in NZ, in both horizontal and vertical drilling applications.

GeoSmart

GeoSmart is a mapping company specialising in delivering intelligent mapping solutions to the market. Services include: Aerial Photography, 3D mapping, Orthophotos, GIS data, Cartographic mapping products, Electronic mapping products, PDA mapping, Car navigation, Fleet Management, Location Based Services, Mobile Mapping solutions, Forest inventory & Health mapping and Environmental mapping.
GeoSmart was successfully exited in March 2007. The company was purchased by the NZ Automobile Association www.aa.co.nz.

GFG Group

GFG Group is an international payment solutions company, providing products, consultancy, systems integration and outsourcing services to more than 50 customers in more than 40 countries.
GFG has four major product lines: credit card payment solutions developed for the ASB; mobile payment solutions – developed for Vodafone; loyalty payment platforms and banking testing software; utility banking solutions allowing banks to outsource key banking functions.

Accredited by the World Bank, GFG is acknowledged as a leader in its field.

HTS-110

HTS-110 designs and manufactures High Temperature Superconducting devices including, magnet systems and electrical leads. Initial applications include eletromagnetics for manufacturers of scientific instruments in the European, US and Japanese markets.
The company is a joint venture between American Superconductor Corporation (NASDAQ: AMSC) www.amsuper.com, Industrial Research Limited www.irl.cri.nz, and Endeavour Capital.

Nexus6 Limited

Nexus6 was founded in 2001 to commercialise technology for the Asthma market. Their flagship product, Smartinhaler®, is an inhaler which is fitted with a microcomputer that records every puff of medicine a patient takes, including details such as the date and time it was taken.

A peak flow meter also fitted with a microcomputer measures the patient’s lunch function. All the data is then fed into a software programme that summarises the results. Smartinhaler® also has an alarm to remind users to take their medication. The Smartinhaler® has been shown in clinical trials to increase an asthma user’s compliance.

Pacific Aerospace Corporation

PAC is a New Zealand based manufacturer of aircraft, aircraft parts and associated aviation services. PAC fabricates a range of aircraft based on its proprietary intellectual property.

Our holding in Pacific Aerospace Corporation was sold in October 2006.


Photonic Innovations Limited

Photonic Innovations Limited (PIL) is developing novel, cheap and robust gas sensing devices for a variety of industries. PIL was found on technology from the University of Otago, Physics Department with funding from EIP.

Proacta Therapeutics is a New Zealand based anti-cancer company (a cooperative venture between The University of Auckland and Stanford University). Proacta is undergoing toxicity and clinical studies with their lead compounds in solid tumour hypoxia.

The founding scientists, Professors Bill Denny and Bill Wilson at the Auckland Cancer Society Research Centre, at The University of Auckland (ACSRC), and Professors Martin Brown and Amato Giacca at the Division of Radiation and Cancer Biology and the Department of Radiation Oncology at Stanford University are considered world leading authorities in the field of tumour hypoxia, a condition that exists in a majority of solid tumours and makes treatment with conventional chemo and radiotherapy less likely to succeed.

Protemix Corporation Limited

Protemix is a proteomics-driven biotechnology company dedicated to the discovery, development and commercialisation of novel treatments for diabetes mellitus and other metabolic diseases. Protemix is a leader in the emerging field of proteomics and has developed a number of proprietary proteomic technologies that accelerate the process of developing mechanism-based drugs for diabetes. We have developed an exciting pipeline of diabetes-related drugs, with one compound in Phase II clinical trials and a number of promising pre-clinical drug candidates.

Simtrix has developed two “next generation” (Swiftpoint) computer mice, one principally for laptops and a second for tablet computers and “table top” (in the living room computing) applications.

SMX

SMX provides highly flexible, effective email services to the international business market.

The SecureMX Mail Scrubbing, Mail Hosting and Virtual Hosting products are designed to keep email secure and spam and virus free.

Veritide Limited

Veritide Limited has been founded to commercialise intellectual property developed at the University of Canterbury by Associate Professor Lou Reinisch.

The first product will be a bacterial spore detector that enables rapid determination of whether a white powder incident is a false alarm or a potential anthrax threat.

ZyGEM Corporation Limited (Investment by Endeavour Capital)

ZyGEM Corporation is a bio-reagents company developing enzymatic tools, firstly, for DNA extraction. The ZyGEM DNA extraction reagent has enabled a breakthrough change and significant benefits to the worlds DNA extraction market. This includes DNA testing laboratories and research institutions.
Developed to increase the speed and accuracy of the DNA extraction process, the patented ZyGEM reagents have a diverse range of applications across human, plant and animal DNA testing industries.
